Following the devastating glacial flooding of the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers in Northern Nepal on August 26th, Anglican Missions has been raising money to support an initiative by Tearfund’s local partners, Share and Care Nepal (SCN). Through the help of Anglican Missions and other public appeals, the initiative has raised over $800,000 to aid in post-disaster recovery.

For families affected by these floods, recovery is about more than just rebuilding. Recovery will require wholistic, long-term assistance with village reconstruction, livelihood recovery, food and water security, psychosocial support, and the replacement of vital belongings.
