This year’s Water for All project aims to fill the need in the six communities of Naviavia, Natakea, Nabatolu, Maniava, Nadrala and Yalava in Fiji. These areas are prone to natural disasters such as cyclones and floods, as well as dry spells during the year. The tanks (which come with their own stands and fittings) are installed using local labour and skills. All resources, both physical and human, will be sourced locally with the water tanks and associated piping being sourced from local retailers. Trades work will be carried out by local tradespeople, who will be responsible for repairs and maintenance as required.

The Anglicare Projects Officer from the Diocese of Polynesia in Fiji monitors the implementation of the water tanks, which are of great benefit to the local community, particularly women and youth.
