AWA is Anglican Missions’ aid, development and humanitarian unit.

AWA carries out humanitarian aid and development projects, and supports individuals, parishes and communities in aid and development Mission.

We are motivated by Jesus to see His Kingdom here on earth. We focus on the Tend, Transform and Treasure Marks of Mission, which enables us to generate more impact by building more networks.

AWA operates in line with international best practice including the Core Humanitarian Standard and the Council for International Development’s (CID) Code of Conduct.

Humanitarian Emergencies

Our partnerships with Anglican Churches and community-based organisations around the world facilitate fast and effective responses when disasters strike.

Our humanitarian work focuses on “building back better”. We have short, medium and long-term programmes to address the immediate needs and future resilience of affected communities.
