Our response

We're coordinating with our international partners

Anglican Missions is coordinating with the Anglican Alliance to support the local Anglican Church in Myanmar. With 9 Diocese across the country, they are connected to local communities and understand the needs of the affected.

The UN has indicated that these needs will include food, water, shelter and medical assistance. The church responded to initial needs of those without shelter, but these will grow as the scale of the disaster becomes clearer.

Your donation will help the church to meet these urgent needs.

We act primarily as a mobiliser of resources and funds. Through partnerships with other development and aid agencies in New Zealand, as well as the Anglican Church, we are able to mobilise physical resources like food, water and tools to where they are needed. We also mobilise the church to give financially to all those in need, and use these funds to purchase required items.
We will keep you updated about the outcomes of the projects through our newsletter and articles on our website. Make sure you sign up for our newsletterto keep up to date with the progress of this appeal.
